We support
Denmark’s toughest charity cycle race, Cykelnerven, runs the crucial stages of the Tour de France every year to raise important funds for research into multiple sclerosis.
When the many enthusiastic cyclists from Cykelnerven take on the French mountains in June for the benefit of the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society’s work for everyone affected by sclerosis, it is with the help of many sponsors, and among them is EMS. The donations to Cykelnerven make an important difference in the fight against multiple sclerosis.
The Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society’s charity cycling race, Cykelnerven, will take on the French mountain tops in June 2024 for the 11th time in a row. Cykelnerven consists of 11 teams from all over Denmark.
Every year, the participants ride a wide range of carefully selected mountains of the year’s toughest Tour de France stages, and Cykelnerven 2024 will be no exception.
When Cykelnerven starts in June 2024, the following ambassadors, among others, will ride together with the rest of the participants:
Former rowers from the Danish Gold Four (Guldfireren), Eskild Ebbesen & Niels Laulund, the TV2 profiles, Dennis Ritter, Claus Elming, Peter Tanev, Sanne Jakobsen and Christian Moberg, the football duo, Martin Jørgensen and Thomas Helveg, former ski cross runner, Sophie Fjellvang-Sølling, former handball player and national team coach, Klavs Bruun Jørgensen, and former world champion in triathlon, Camilla Pedersen.
It is the 11th time Cykelnerven takes on the French mountains for the benefit of research into multiple sclerosis, and the participants cover all costs themselves. Before departure, every participant raises at least DKK 15,000 for research into multiple sclerosis – therefore, all riders are helping to make a big difference.
The director of the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society, Klaus Høm, is, of course, deeply grateful for this on behalf of the society, but certainly also in relation to everyone who fights a battle with multiple sclerosis close to the heart of their lives every day:
“We cycle for a world without multiple sclerosis and are deeply grateful that all our top-motivated cyclists put so much effort and energy into our cause. The money that the riders and sponsors help raising for the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society finances more than half of all independent Danish research into multiple sclerosis. The funds are crucial for us having a Danish multiple sclerosis research environment in the first place, and therefore, each and every participant at Cykelnerven makes a difference to our work”, says the director.
Our COO, Rene Olsen, is part of the charity race for the 5th season, and together with him, you can support this amazing society. All you need to do is check the link and choose the amount with which you would like to support Cykelnerven. No matter if you are a private person or a company, everyone is welcome to support the Danish Multiple Sclerosis Society. If you don’t want to show your name, you can always do it anonymously.
In the name of Rene Olsen and Cykelnerven, we thank everyone who donates money.
