After 14 years of working under the name Esbjerg Maritime Service, we are changing our name to
Engineered Market Solutions.

Celebrating a switch from a small domestic subcontractor to a total supplier of engineering, production, installation and services to the international energy industry.

With our new core task,

“We supply value-added solutions to the energy industry”

The new name

is part of the company’s strategic transition from a traditional subcontractor to a complete provider of engineering, production, installation, and service solutions for the international energy industry.

The Port of Esbjerg is already one of the world’s hubs for offshore wind, and its location in the North Sea represents enormous potential for future investments in green energy. We are strategically committed to becoming a part of this development, and as part of the strategy, we are now changing our name to Engineered Market Solutions.

A year and a half ago, we formulated a new core mission: “To supply value-added solutions to the energy industry.” This entails a greater focus on project management, strategic partnerships, development of our own products, and less emphasis on being a subcontractor in the traditional sense, explaining the reason for the name change.

The company has significantly strengthened its organisation to handle more complex tasks for clients both domestically and internationally. In the past year alone, we have grown from 80 to 115 employees.

Engineered Market Solutions consists of three departments – engineering, production, and service – all of which have received a significant upgrade in both facilities and skills through recent expansions, where the company has invested over DKK 65 million in two new production halls and an administration building. With the infrastructure in place, the focus is now on getting the three departments to complement each other even better.

“The concepts that are starting to prove successful now have been in development for several years. But we may have started off a little bit too soon and suddenly we found ourselves too far down the supply chain. In the last couple of years, we have invested significantly in facilities and skills and are now in a position where we can be selective about whether customers and tasks fit into our strategy,” – says Kenneth Hagelskjær, CEO.

Currently, process equipment for the production and distribution of energy is a significant part of the order book. This includes tanks, containers, pipelines, and pipe systems for energy customers. At the same time, we are actively positioning ourselves in relation to an upcoming growth market in hydrogen. Recently, Denmark’s first state tender for green hydrogen was decided, initiating six projects with establishment of PtX plants in Denmark.

“The potential in the hydrogen industry is enormous. It is not a new market, but no one has tried to handle projects on such a large scale as the PtX plants that are now being built. We see a clear opportunity for our knowledge and experience from many years in the oil and gas industry to add value to customers and secure a role in future hydrogen projects,” – says Hardy Jeremiassen, Head of Sales and Business Development.
